Experts from Logistics, Maritime Affairs, and Industry at the “Importance of Logistics Capacities and Transport Infrastructure” Panel
One of the topics of this year’s Vukovar Business Forum – Meeting G2.12 conference will be the panel “Importance of Logistics Capacities and Transport Infrastructure,” which will gather prominent experts in the fields of logistics, maritime transport, industry, and international development.
In a time of global supply chain disruptions, geopolitical challenges, and a growing need for the modernization of transport corridors, logistics and infrastructure are becoming the foundation of economic development and regional competitiveness.
Participating in the panel is Ida Rukavina, a board member of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority in Minnesota, USA. She was appointed to this important position by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in early 2025. This is one of the most significant American port authorities in the Great Lakes region, playing a major role in regional economic development and international trade.
Rukavina possesses a wealth of experience in public administration, regional development, and political leadership. She has held a number of responsible positions in Minnesota, including working within economic development organizations and public relations, with her commitment to connecting communities, industry, and the public sector standing out in particular. Her international experience brings a vital perspective on the development of modern logistics and port systems, as well as the strengthening of transport connectivity.
Also participating in the panel is Milan Vrdoljak, the President of the Management Board and owner of the company Ricardo d.o.o., one of Croatia’s highly recognized logistics systems. He has been in private entrepreneurship since 1992, and under his leadership, Ricardo has developed into a stable company with nearly 400 employees.
Through decades of work in the logistics sector, Vrdoljak has built a reputation as a leader who bases his business on long-term stability, responsibility, and a clear organizational structure. His experience in managing logistics processes and developing business systems represents an important contribution to the discussion on the transport and logistics future of Croatia.
Pero Milos, the director of the project design company Naval Design Solutions d.o.o. from Zagreb, also brings his experience to the panel. A mechanical engineer with more than 25 years of experience in shipbuilding and the development of specialized industrial projects, Pero Milos actively works on developing innovative approaches to Croatian shipbuilding and prototype manufacturing.
His work is particularly focused on connecting domestic experts, developing specialized industrial manufacturing, and strengthening the competitiveness of the Croatian shipbuilding and technology industry within the European environment. Through projects in both civil and military sectors, he participates in creating new technological solutions and strengthening Croatia’s industrial capacities.
The “Importance of Logistics Capacities and Transport Infrastructure” panel will address key questions regarding the development of transport corridors, modernization of logistics systems, international connectivity, and the enhancement of economic competitiveness in Croatia and the region.
