Vukovar Business Forum – Meeting G2.12 opens a discussion on the future of technology and security: AI, cybersecurity, and defense in the focus of an expert panel

April 27, 2026

Vukovar will, from May 21st to 23rd, become the center of business, investment, and technological discussions through the first edition of the conference Vukovar Business Forum – Meeting G2.12, an event organized by the City of Vukovar, the Vukovar Business Zone, and the Meeting G2 association. The Forum is designed as a platform that connects the economy, investments, innovations, and international business networking, with a special emphasis on the development of eastern Croatia and connecting domestic entrepreneurs with the Croatian diaspora and international partners.

One of the most anticipated parts of this year’s program will be the panel titled „Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Defense – Opportunities and Challenges,“ which will gather leading experts from the fields of artificial intelligence, technological security, and defense technologies.

The panel will open a series of key questions that are shaping the global economy and the security sector today, from the application of artificial intelligence in business and industry, through growing cyber threats, all the way to the development of defense technologies and autonomous systems that are changing the way states and companies think about the security of the future.

Darko Bilandžić, the founder of AI Praktikum and an expert who has been connecting marketing, automation, and advanced technologies in real business processes for more than 15 years, will speak about the practical application of artificial intelligence in business. Dr. sc. Karlo Knežević from Sofascore brings a scientific and developmental perspective; he is an expert in artificial intelligence and data processing who actively works on the development of advanced AI systems and promotes the responsible use of technology and its application in everyday life and industry.

A global view on digital transformation and growing security challenges will be given by Martin Obradović from Dell Technologies, where he leads the development of strategic partnerships and technological solutions for markets in several European regions. A representative of the Osijek-based company Orqa, a Croatian technology company that has established itself as one of the important European players in the development of unmanned and autonomous systems for civilian and defense applications, will also add special weight to the discussion.

In a time of accelerated digital transformation, geopolitical instabilities, and growing cyber threats, the panel „Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, and defense – opportunities and challenges“ brings a timely discussion on how new technologies can be a driver of development, but also a key tool for the protection of business systems, institutions, and society as a whole.

Vukovar Business Forum G2.12 will thus, through this panel, further confirm its ambition to become a meeting place for the economy, technology, and strategic ideas that shape the future of the region and beyond.
